RAC has an annual budget of $19 million and a workforce of approximately 230 people. RAC is a significant employer and economic contributor to the region and plays a high profile leadership role as one of the larger Aboriginal organisations in Australia. RAC is committed to ensuring the Aboriginal people in the Goulburn Valley have certainty of access to community-controlled services.
Role Purpose:
The primary responsibility of the Kinship Case Manager is to provide support to children placed into statutory
kinship care placements contracted to RAC. In this role, you will ensure their ongoing safety, stability, and
developmental needs are met.
Your tasks will include completing all case management tasks and reporting requirements, such as court reports,
quarterly reports to DFFH, carer assessments, and when necessary, undertake permanent care assessments.

- Tenure of positions at Rumbalara will be tied to existing contracted funding arrangements
About You
To excel in this position, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:
• Case management or case work experience with families and children.
• High standard of confidentiality and compliance.
• Familiarity with relevant legislation, policies, and frameworks.
• Collaboration skills and the ability to work with stakeholders.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Engagement skills and understanding of kinship care challenges.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines.
• A recognised Social Work degree, a similar qualification in welfare, or a recognised Diploma of
Community Services work or a similar qualification.
