RAC has been a resource, service provider and enabler of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities of the Greater Shepparton region since 1980. RAC is a cooperative working to provide a range of supports and services including:

RAC has an annual budget of $19 million and a workforce of approximately 230 people. Role Purpose:

As the Emergency Preparedness Coordinator, you will lead the development, implementation, and review of our
organization-wide initiatives in Continuity, Emergency Management and Recovery, and Critical Incident Management.
Your responsibilities include maintaining precise records, monitoring compliance with emergency and business continuity
management standards, and devising innovative solutions within our collaborative team. This role demands high
professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality to support and guide both internal senior staff and external partners

About You
Knowledge and skills:
• General understanding of an Aboriginal organization and local community. Experience working collaboratively in a
small team to support various programs and initiatives, preferably in community organization, emergency
management, recovery, or critical incident contexts.
• Experience in developing and implementing continuity, emergency management, recovery, and critical incident
strategies and programs, with knowledge of key terminology, best practices, and relevant legislation/standards.
• Ability to consult and influence stakeholders at different levels, with a client-focused approach dedicated to
delivering high-quality outcomes.
Qualifications and Registrations:
• A relevant qualification and experience, or a combination of extensive relevant experience and/or education/training
in emergency management, business continuity management, or critical incident management is preferred.

• Competitive pay and conditions based on the ACCHS Award – Grade 6: $45.56 per hour (Above award wages).
