RAC has been a resource, service provider and enabler of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities of the Greater Shepparton region since 1980. RAC is a cooperative working to provide a range of supports and services including:
- Health and wellbeing
- Positive aging and disability services
- Community services
- Asset and infrastructure services
- Corporate services
RAC has an annual budget of $19 million and a workforce of approximately 230 people. RAC is a significant employer and economic contributor to the region and plays a high profile leadership role as one of the larger Aboriginal organisations in Australia. RAC is committed to ensuring the Aboriginal people in the Goulburn Valley have certainty of access to community-controlled services.
Role Purpose:
To provide finance and administrative support to the Finance Manager and Chief Financial Officer.
Employment Conditions:

About You
To excel in this position, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:
•You are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
•A Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping with at least 1 to 2 years workplace experience in accounting and bookkeeping. A Candidate who are currently pursuing or willing to pursue Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping, may be considered if they fulfil other selection criteria.
•A good understanding of accounting principles and practices.
•Hands on experience of processing supplier’s invoices, Accounts Payable process with high levels of attention to detail.
•The job requires speed, accuracy, attention to details and organisational skills.
•Working knowledge of Excel.
•The ability to work in a team environment and support other team members with additional or higher duties when needed.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Knowledge of accounting software preferably Microsoft Business Central.
•Ability to prioritise workload and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
•Well-developed computer skills and Microsoft Office products.
•Demonstrated understanding of the role of the Finance function in the overall organisation and basic financial management processes.
