RAC has been a resource, service provider and enabler of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities of the Greater Shepparton region since 1980. RAC is a cooperative working to provide a range of supports and services including:

- Positive aging and disability services
- Community services
- Asset and infrastructure services
- Corporate services
RAC has an annual budget of $19 million and a workforce of approximately 230 people. RAC is a significant employer and economic contributor to the region and plays a high profile leadership role as one of the larger Aboriginal organisations in Australia. RAC is committed to ensuring the Aboriginal people in the Goulburn Valley have certainty of access to community-controlled services.
Role Purpose:
As a Team Leader Kinship Case Manager, you will:
• Lead a team providing case management and support to vulnerable children and their carers.
• Oversee the Better Futures and Home Stretch Programs, ensuring smooth transitions for young people
from Kinship Care to independent living.
• Collaborate with the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH) to meet kinship care targets
and reduce placements in residential and foster care.
• Ensure culturally sensitive support for Aboriginal children, maintaining their cultural identity
Employment Conditions:

About You
To excel in this position, you should possess the following:
• Experience in team leadership and strategy development.
• Knowledge of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005.
• Strong confidentiality and compliance skills.
• Understanding of Aboriginal community and culture, with an emphasis on the health and wellbeing of
young Aboriginal people.
• Skills in assessment, referral management, and case support practices.
• Understanding of child development and factors impacting it, including recognizing signs of cumulative
harm.
What We Offer:
• Competitive Pay and Conditions: Compensation is aligned with the SCHADS Award, ranging from Level 6
Pay Point 1 – 6 from $53 to $58 per hour, depending on your qualifications, skills, and experience.
